Owl City is a one man artist by the name of Adam Young. Adam has been making music since 2007 when he started this American electronic music project in Owatonna, Minnesota where he grew up. It is one of several projects by this talented singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. When he was younger he gained a following on social networking site MySpace, rising to further success when he signed with Universal Republic Records in the late 2000s. Although he gained his mainstream popularity when he realeased the 2008 album "Ocean Eyes" featuring the song Fireflies. Adam is still making music today, and released his most recent album, "Coco Moon" March 24th, 2023
I grew up listening to owl city, it was one of my older brother's favorite bands, and my dad often played it in the car too. I remember listening to Owl City on my MP3 player back in the 2010s. I love Adams style of unique music and how he makes it soley by himself. I can recall when I first found out that he is a Christian, which only made me love him even more. Listening back to his music after finding that out, it opened my mind to the meanings behind his genious lyricism. I went to one of his concerts in September at Saint Andrews Hall, and it was truly one of the best experiences of my life. Hearing him in person surpassed anything I could ever imagine.
